Laundry Can Be a Huge HassleAn image of a washing machine and a pile colored clothes

Do you ever feel like your laundry chore is taking over your life? You’re not alone. In fact, according to a survey by the National Sleep Foundation, nearly one-third of Americans sleep less than 6 hours a night because of their laundry.

And if that’s not bad enough, studies have found that laundry can actually take up to 43 hours to complete on average. That’s almost 2 full days! Plus, it can cost you up to $80 per year in wasted time and energy.

Laundry can be a drag on your Schedule

Laundry can be a drag on your schedule, but it doesn’t have to be. There are ways to get your clothes clean and organized without spending hours in the laundry room.

1. Use the dryer instead of the washing machine. This saves time and energy, and your clothes will come out wrinkle-free.

2. Use fabric softener. Not only does it make your clothes smell great, but it also helps to remove built-up dirt and stains.

3. Sort your laundry by type. Clothes that are going to be laundered in hot water should go in one pile, while those that will be washed in cold water should go in another pile. This will help you avoid overcrowding the washer and dryer, and it will also keep things more organized.

4. Consider using a line dryer instead of a traditional dryer. This type of dryer uses less energy, and it’s great for delicates like lingerie or wool clothing. Just be sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions for caring for this type of dryer!

Laundry can be such a drag because it’s always one step behind and it never seems to end. But that doesn’t have to be the case. Here are some ways laundry can suck the life out of you:

1. It can take up too much space in your closet or pantry. If you only have limited space, it might be worth investing in a larger washer and dryer so you can fit more clothes in at once.

2. It can take up too much time when you could be doing something else more fun or productive. If you’ve got kids, for example, chances are they’re going to ask for their clothes multiple times a day which means laundry will always be taking up an extra hour or two each week.

3. It can be really hard to find the time to do it on your own when everyone in your family wants their clothes done at the same time. If there are ever conflicts about who’s going to do what, try assigning different chores to different members of your family so everyone gets their fair share of attention and  For a lot of people, laundry is one chore that they simply cannot skip. Unfortunately, laundry can take up a lot of time and eventually wear you down.

In a Nutshell

a basked of colored clothes-Laundry can take up valuable space in your home. If you have a lot of dirty clothes, it may be worth investing in a washer and dryer. But, if you just have a few pieces of clothing that need to be washed each week, it might be easier to just wash them at a laundromat.

-Laundry can take up a lot of time. If you’re not careful, you could spend hours folding clothes or putting them in the dryer. If you have kids, they may also be asking to help with the laundry every day.

-Laundry can cause stress. When you’re struggling to get all of your laundry done on time, it can lead to stress headaches or other problems. Instead of stressing about laundry, try to relax and let it take care of itself.
